Halton Children’s Trust was established in 2008 and is a partnership of public and voluntary sector organisations working together to meet the needs of children and families. The partnership exists to improve outcomes for all children and young people in Halton. We believe that this can be done more effectively by all agencies and organisations working together.
Halton Children’s Trust Board is the governing body that oversees strategic work and delivery of the Trust’s agreed priorities.
To achieve our aims, Halton Children’s Trust partners work in a co-ordinated way. Our Halton Children & Young People’s Plan makes this possible. We have identified 3 priority outcomes which we aim to achieve through joint planning and working together. These are:
- Early Help & Support.
- Integrated Commissioning.
- Closing the gap.
In addition, safeguarding is an intrinsic part of each priority, considered within the work of each and scrutinised by the Halton Safeguarding Children’s Board.
We hope you find this website a useful resource. As well as providing the latest news and updates, the site is home to key documents, training information and resources to assist professionals working with children and young people. There are also dedicated pages for the young people’s INVOLVE Group, Halton INterAction and Halton Family Voice, which represents parents and carers in Halton. We welcome any suggestions about any additions to the website.
